About Us
We don't just grow hockey players–we grow good teammates, confident kids, and lasting friendships!

Welcome to the Home of the Sara-Placid Lakers
The Sara-Placid Lakers Youth Hockey Association, located in the Adirondack Park of upstate New York, brings together kids and families from the Saranac Lake and Lake Placid area to play, grow, and build lifelong memories–on and off the ice.
We believe hockey should be fun, challenging, and welcoming for all. Whether it's your first time lacing up skates or your hundredth game, there's a place for you here.
We're proud of our small-town roots and big team spirit. Our league is run by dedicated volunteers, passionate coaches, and families who believe in providing youth an opportunity to play hockey at a high level while having fun, making friends, and learning the importance of sportsmanship, commitment, and teamwork.
We offer a variety of programs from teaching the newest players how to skate and play hockey to our more advanced programs for high school aged players.
At the younger levels, we offer:
- Learn to Skate program
- Introduction to hockey Mini-Mites (8-Under) and Mites (8-U) programs.
For athletes continuing to play hockey within our organization we offer:
- Squirt (10U)
- Pee Wee (12U)
- Bantam (14U)
- Girls (14U)
- Girls (19U)
We welcome all newcomers within our organization, no matter what the age or ability level.
If you have any questions regarding the set-up of our organization or the individuals whom run it please contact us anytime.
Good luck to all the players this year and GO LAKERS!
