Parent Hub
đź‘‹ Welcome, Lakers Parents
You’re not just part of the crowd—you’re part of the team.
Parents play one of the most important roles in youth sports. You cheer, support, organize, drive, and sometimes even tie skates at 6 a.m. You help build the environment where kids learn, grow, and fall in love with hockey.
At Sara-Placid Lakers Hockey, we consider parents our partners. Whether you're new to the game or a hockey veteran, this page is your go-to guide for getting involved, staying informed, and helping your player thrive on and off the ice.

đź› Your Role as a Parent
You wear many hats: motivator, carpool captain, snack coordinator, sometimes therapist. And that’s a good thing. Studies show parents have a bigger influence on their child’s sports experience than anyone else—including coaches.
- Be encouraging
- Stay positive (especially in the stands)
- Ask questions
- Cheer on effort, not just outcomes
