Involvement & Volunteering
Getting Involved as a Parent
Youth hockey doesn’t run without you.
The Sara-Placid Lakers Youth Hockey Association is 100% volunteer-run—from the board and coaches to the folks working the game clock. That means every family plays a role in making our season possible.
Your time, effort, and energy help keep our league affordable, local, and filled with opportunities for every player. Plus, volunteering shows our kids what community really looks like. And don't forget that area youth can earn volunteer hours for school when they and their families help out!
Volunteer Responsibilities
Most volunteering happens during the regular season at home games and tournaments. Don’t worry—we’ll walk you through what’s needed, and your Team Manager will help coordinate shifts.
